NMMC Maple Grove Outpatient Surgery CenterJessi was born in Lisbon, North Dakota and now currently resides in Wayzata, Minnesota. Outside of work she loves spending time with her husband, three kids, two dogs, and one cat. When she’s not spending time with family or doing outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, or gardening, she’s reading about alternative medicines to keep our bodies healthy and strong.
When asked what her favorite thing about her job is, she said, “I know that I was meant to do this work since I was three years old. I told everyone I was going to be a baby doctor!” She makes it a priority to work alongside her patients and make them feel like they are a team – working together to make the best decision about their care.

Gerten Urogynecology
As a woman and a mother of four children I know how bladder and pelvic issues can affect our ability to be active and secure in our health. I want to help you uncover sensitive and embarrassing problems and find ways to alleviate symptoms. I love working together in a comprehensive and caring way to get you back to your life.
My favorite part of being a doctor is educating patients – really diving into a woman’s whole life experience and presenting options while we determine a treatment plan together. I want my patients to learn and understand what is going on with their bodies and discuss available medical and surgical options.
As a female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery physician – a urogynecologist – I specialize in conditions that affect the bladder, the bowel, and the reproductive organs. Common conditions my patients present with include urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic discomfort, and sexual discomfort.
